Titleist Golf Clubs Overview
The maker of “The No. 1 Ball in Golf” makes a lot more than just golf balls. Titleist golf clubs have carved their own niche, appealing to players who value high quality and traditional styling.
The Titleist brand did, indeed, start with golf balls in the 1930s (under the Acushnet label). Clubs were added to the mix in 1962, and some of the game’s best players soon began using Titleist equipment on the PGA Tour.
Tiger Woods started his professional career with a Titleist driver before moving to Nike. More recently, the company’s professional roster has included major winners Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Adam Scott and Webb Simpson, along with LPGA stars Danielle Kang and Nelly Korda.
Titleist has long been considered a “better player’s” brand. Titleist drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons are prized for their traditional looks and workability. The company also makes Vokey Wedges and Scotty Cameron putters, which are highly regarded among pros and amateurs alike. You’ll find a vast selection of new and used Titleist golf clubs here at GlobalGolf.
Here’s a quick rundown of recent Titleist golf club models:
TSi Drivers, Fairway Woods and Hybrids, 2020 – 21
Titleist rolled out its
TSi lineup
starting with drivers and fairway woods in 2020, then expanding to hybrids (and more drivers and fairways) in 2021.
The Titleist TSi driver series includes four models – the TSi1, TSi2, TSi3 and TSi4 – each geared toward a slightly different player. The TSi1 driver, for instance, is lightweight to help golfers with medium swing speeds generate more distance; the TSi3 is best for those who strike the ball solidly and want to dial in their shot shape with an adjustable center of gravity (CG). Titleist’s TSi fairway woods offer similar customization.
T400 Irons, 2020
Built for players with moderate swing speeds, the
Titleist T400 iron set
boasts a number of player-friendly features. Golfers who tend to strike the ball thin (low on the clubface) benefit from an extra-low CG and a leading edge uniquely integrated with the sole for higher ball speeds.
SM8 Wedges, 2020
The latest Vokey Design wedges feature a new progressive CG for exceptional forgiveness, plus a variety of sole grinds, lofts and bounce angles. Each
Titleist Vokey SM8 wedge
has spin-milled grooves, which are heat-treated in the impact zone for extra durability and extreme backspin.
T-Series Irons, 2019
Titleist’s T100, T200 and T300 iron sets were created for broad appeal. Top players appreciate the feel and precision of the T100 forged irons. Max Impact technology marks the T200 and T300 models, which are more forgiving thanks to their cavity-back designs and tungsten heel-toe weighting.
620 Irons, 2019
For true forged-iron aficionados, the
Titleist 620 MB (muscle-back)
iron set is hard to beat. The sleek, shiny blades give refined shotmakers all the feel and workability they could want. Titleist’s 620CB (cavity-back) irons are a bit kinder on miss-hits, while still delivering the precision better players crave.
