    Callaway Golf Clubs Overview

Callaway rocked the golf world when it introduced the original Big Bertha driver in 1991. Three decades later, the company is still going strong.

Pros the world over – including Phil Mickelson, Francesco Molinari and Henrik Stenson – play Callaway golf clubs. But Callaway may be best known for building amateur-friendly equipment, including game-improvement drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons. It’s also the parent company of Odyssey Golf, one of the game’s leading putter manufacturers.

Let’s check out the current lineup of Callaway golf clubs, all available at GlobalGolf:

Epic Speed and Epic Max, 2021

The follow-up to Callaway’s blockbuster Epic Flash release (2018), this collection of drivers and fairway woods expands on the original’s innovations. Callaway again leaned on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revamp its Jailbreak construction for added stability and ball speed. The Epic Max and Epic Max LS drivers offer adjustability, while the Epic Speed boasts a new Cyclone Aero Shape. Each driver delivers a slightly different trajectory.

The Epic Speed and Epic Max fairway woods also got a reconfigured Jailbreak system and AI-designed steel clubface to juice ball speeds.

    Apex 21, 2021

Say hello to Callaway’s Apex 21 and Apex 21 Pro lines of hybrids and irons . Engineers placed the company’s new Jailbreak AI Velocity Blades in the hybrids, boosting stiffness near the sole to help out on golfers’ typical miss-hits. The more forgiving Apex 21 is aimed at a wide range of golfers, while the Apex 21 Pro hybrid is for lower handicaps.

As for the irons, Callaway launched three new models in 2021: Apex 21, Apex 21 Pro and Apex DCB 21. All three sets feature forged steel clubheads but fit into separate categories. Apex 21 irons are “players distance” style; Apex Pro 21 irons are “players performance” clubs; and Apex DCB 21 irons go into the “game improvement” silo.

    X-Forged 21 Utility, 2021

Better golfers looking for a sure-fire fairway finder – or simply an alternative to the standard hybrid – should consider Callaway’s X-Forged UT irons. Available in three lofts, these hollow-bodied clubs are crafted from soft carbon steel for exceptional feel and shot-shaping ability.

    2020 Mavrik

Callaway’s research and development team used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to design the Mavrik lineup of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons. Mavrik drivers and woods feature Flash Face SS20 technology and titanium construction for ultra-fast ball speeds across the clubface. Mavrik irons utilize tungsten weights, precisely positioned for optimal launch and ball flight.

Mavrik drivers and fairway woods come in three models, each made for specific golfer types: Standard (wide range), Sub Zero (better golfers) and MAX (higher handicaps). Likewise, Mavrik hybrids and irons include three categories. The Mavrik line includes women’s models as well.

    2018 Rogue

Callaway upped the ante with its Rogue lineup. Rogue drivers, fairway woods and hybrids feature Jailbreak Technology, an innovative system using titanium rods to brace and strengthen the crown and sole. Result: significantly higher ball speeds (and distance). Rogue irons deliver better results on miss-hits by combining 360 Face Cup technology and Variable Face Thickness (VFT).

    Rogue X

These Callaway irons are lightweight, with longer shafts and stronger lofts than standard irons – elements that combine for superior distance. Callaway also used Urethane Microspheres to dampen vibration for excellent feel and ample forgiveness.

    Epic Flash

This line is best known for the Epic Flash Driver, the only driver to earn a perfect 20 of 20 stars in 2019 Golf Digest Hot List testing. Epic Flash fairway woods and hybrids have won fans, too, with their Jailbreak Technology and high-flying carry.

    Apex 19

Callaway’s Apex 19 label caters to lower handicap players, with forged irons and “workable” hybrids. Apex 19 irons were the only set to score 20-of-20 in 2019 Golf Digest Hot List testing; excellent feel, distance and control are these clubs’ hallmarks.

    Big Bertha 2019

Callaway continues to leverage the Big Bertha brand in a range of club types, including drivers, fairway woods and irons. You’ll find a variety of Callaway preowned Big Bertha models here at GlobalGolf.

    Strata

Callaway’s Strata lineup pairs partial and full club sets with lightweight golf bags – perfect for the novice, occasional or budget-conscious golfer. Each set includes a driver, fairway wood and hybrid along with irons and a putter.

While Callaway’s new offerings are always cutting-edge, Callaway preowned clubs are a great choice if you’re shopping for used equipment.
