    Description

The JPX 919 Forged Irons feature a deeper, wider milling across the back of the face, allowing greater energy transfer to the ball. The addition of Boron in the steel billets gives the club 30% more strength. The open heel face enhances stability, launch and loft for softer landing shots. This club is the ultimate balance of ball speed, stability and feedback.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

    Technology / Specs

The Mizuno JPX 919 Forged irons blend workability and forgiveness into a high-performing iron with outstanding feel. Here’s what’s new about these irons.

    Back Milled Face

JPX 919 Forged irons have a back milled face. This new technique CNC mills the face from the sole up. By doing this, Mizuno engineers can make the face as thin as possible while still maintaining performance and feel. The process also moves the CG deeper to easily flight long and mid irons.

    Boron Infused Steel

With a thinner face, strong steel is needed to ensure the integrity and performance of the clubs. Mizuno added a small amount of Boron to the steel billet, making the JPX 919 Forged irons 30% stronger.

    Grain Flow Forged HD

Grain Flow Forged HD is a unique forging process developed by Mizuno. As the club gets forged from a single billet of 1025E mild carbon steel, the extra is dammed up, placing a higher density of continuous grain structure in the impact area. This forging process is the reason why nothing feels like a Mizuno iron.

A pearl brush finish on the JPX 919 Forged irons reduces glare and smooths out the club’s lines, creating a flowing look.
