    Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

    Technology / Specs

PING enters the "player’s distance" iron category with their sleek looking PING i500 irons.

    Hollow Body Construction

A common theme in a player’s distance iron is having a hollow body construction. The body of the i500 irons is completely hollow. PING does this for a couple reasons.

The first reason is the distance factor. With nothing to hinder it, the face of the i500 irons flexes at impact, transferring energy to the golf ball. This energy leads to more distance.

The second reason is to control the center of gravity. More weight is placed further back, raising the launch angle for high shots that land soft.

    Metal-wood-like Face

The i500 irons have a forged C300 maraging-steel face; the same one found in the G400 fairway woods. This thin, strong material flexes at impact for higher ball speeds and distance on shots hit across the face.

    Sleek, Sohpisticated Looks

Better players want a certain look in their irons. They generally prefer a thin topline and little offset. The i500 irons have these and more.

The muscle-back portion of the iron stays hidden at address, so the irons doesn’t look chunky. The club is also not bogged down with graphics or big lettering. "Sleek" and "Sophisticated" are great ways to describe them.
