Pro Tip: The Titleist GT Line Delivers a Monumental Leap Forward

When Titleist drops a new line of drivers, you can be sure it’s gone through an epic process of research, development, and testing before it finds its way for sale.

For five seasons and counting, the top choice for golfers on the PGA Tour have been Titleist drivers. With the new Titleist GT drivers, the line is a direct result of collaborating with the game’s best players and earning their final validation. That’s a foundational piece in the development of all Titleist golf equipment.

And the best in the game have already put the GT drivers in their bags in droves.

“The whole [Titleist Golf Club R&D] team from top to bottom is just obsessed with making things as good as they can and they have such a deep understanding of us on the PGA TOUR and golfers in general,” said Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young. “They've seen everything, and there’s no little thing that you can bring to them that isn’t fixable or something they can’t experiment with. They all have such a deep knowledge of the equipment, there's always a solution to what you’re looking for.”

The three all-new GT driver models are set to be the most advanced and best-performing drivers from Titleist. Each of the GT2, GT3, and GT4 drivers are engineered to deliver total driver performance. Combined with exceptional looks, sound, and feel, the new line of Titleist drivers are longer, faster, straighter, and more forgiving across the face than any previous Titleist driver.

“The GT line represents a monumental leap forward for Titleist driver design and engineering,” said Stephanie Luttrell, Director, Titleist Metalwood Product Development. “The breakthroughs we made in material, construction, shaping and design weren’t possible in prior generations. All the advancements found in GT are working in concert to create the highest-performing driver we have ever made.”

Each driver in the GT line boasts a unique, ultra-light material – an all-new seamless thermoform crown comprised of a new proprietary matrix polymer – which allows Titleist engineers to place mass in optimal locations to help increase speed and improve stability. The GT line of drivers maintain the classic Titleist driver look at address while the acoustics of the new matrix polymer helps the new GT drivers to boast a player-preferred sound and feel.

Refined aerodynamics help boost clubhead speed while a new speed ring and VFT face design contribute to faster ball speed – even on off-centre hits.

The GT2 is designed for speed and forgiveness across the face with a higher MOI setup. The GT3 is designed for fine-tuned speed and control with maximized distance and optimized ball flight. The GT4 is a low-spin, 430cc driver designed to eliminate excessive spin and deliver a penetrating trajectory.

“When we release a new product, it has to outperform the previous line,” said Josh Talge, Vice President, Titleist Golf Club Marketing. “For GT, it needed to be faster than TSR. It needed to be longer and straighter, and it had to sound better, look better and feel better. GT delivers across the board without compromise.”
