    Pro Tip: TaylorMade Stealth

After decades of comparable materials helping golfers in Canada hit the ball further and straighter, 2022 was a new era for TaylorMade – the Carbonwood era.

    TaylorMade Stealth - Carbonwood

The new TaylorMade driver for 2022, the Stealth, has a Carbon face. Two decades of innovation saw TaylorMade use and re-use titanium, but for this year TaylorMade raised the bar with its 60X Carbon Twist Face – breaking the limits of titanium.

The new Stealth TaylorMade driver saw plenty of the world’s best, including FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy, hit the ball longer and straighter than ever.

The new TaylorMade driver for 2022 featured 60 layers of carbon fibre to help with speed, and the striking red carbon face delivered a higher COR and more precise face geometry through a layout that was lighter but larger. It’s 40 percent lighter than titanium and is 11 percent larger than the faces of the previous TaylorMade driver models, the SIM2 and SIM2 Max.

“Through two decades of work our team was able to solve various hurdles and create numerous technological innovations in order to bring today’s most advanced and precise driver to market,” said Todd Beach, Senior Vice President R&D and Engineering at TaylorMade.

Three models of the TaylorMade Stealth driver were released in 2022, and were accepted as a fun and revolutionary change to what’s usually in the bag of golfers around the world – the Stealth Plus (lowest spinning of the family), Stealth (15 percent more MOI), and Stealth HD (draw-bias), plus Stealth Women’s.

The Carbonwood era also extended to TaylorMade’s other golf clubs including fairway woods and hybrids. TaylorMade STEALTH Irons

The new Stealth irons, meanwhile, built off the game-improvement successes of the SIM2 Max irons from the year prior. They ended up modernizing what a game-improvement iron can look like, but also helped push the limits in terms of distance and accuracy, which made for a nice iron package for golfers this season.

    TaylorMade Tour Response Golf Balls

The neatest addition to the TaylorMade golf ball line for 2022 was the Tour Response Stripe. It was a Tour-quality cast urethane golf ball that boasted advanced alignment technology (a bold yellow stripe all the way around the ball) which helped the ball be designed for high performance at a lower price. The 360-degree ClearPath Alignment is complimented with a Tour Flight Dimple Pattern (also used in the TP5/TP5x and added to the Tour Response for the first time) helped promote maximum carry distances with next-level aerodynamics.

The brand trusted by McIlroy, Tiger Woods, and plenty others also debuted a new TaylorMade wedge – the Milled Grind 3 Wedge featuring all-new raised micro-ribs for added precision – as part of its golf-club lineup for 2022.
