Ping has once again stepped up its effort for every club in the bag from drivers through to irons with the new Ping G440 lineup. The metalwoods are meant to be faster and more forgiving while the irons are distance-driven with a premium look.
Here’s everything else you need to know about the new Ping G440 line of clubs for 2025.

DRIVERS
G440 Max – The most forgiving model that fits most golfers, available in three lofts with a three-position adjustable back weight.
G440 LST – The Low Spin design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, offering lower spin and more control in two loft options.
G440 SFT – The Straight Flight option givers golfers who are in need of slice-correction technology the best possible offering off the tee. It features a two-position (Draw and Draw+) adjustable 23-gram back weight.
The new Ping G440 drivers are optimized to help deliver more ball speed to golfers of all skill levels through multiple new technological advancements including PING’s deepest CG in a driver ever.
Each of the new Ping G440 driver models are designed to fit a specific player, as each head profile is engineered in order to provide launch conditions to best match golfers’ swings.
The new drivers from Ping boast free-hosel technology (weight removed from the hosel is re-allocated to help push mass lower and create Ping’s deepest centre of gravity ever), while a hotter and thinner face helps to boost ball speed and consistency across the clubface.
Overall, the Ping G440 system weight is lighter by 10 grams and the standard shaft length is a quarter-inch longer than previous models to help golfers to swing faster and to launch higher and longer drives.

FAIRWAY WOODS
G440 Max – The Max model fits most golfers and is available in five lofts (including a new 4-wood) to help provide better gapping solutions.
G440 LST – The multi-material low-spin design appeals to players with faster swing speeds offering lower spin and high launch.
G440 SFT – Like the drivers, the G440 SFT fairway woods give golfers who are in need of slice-correction technology an extra draw-inducing CG location to help with more consistency.
The new fairway wood family from Ping reinforces its reputation as a Tour-preferred model of choice thanks to a re-designed face structure and a low CG system. The new G440 fairway woods have a four percent taller face for more confidence off the tee while keeping the CG location maintained to help deliver high-launch performance off the ground. The new Ping G440 fairway woods also have optimized face thickness in the toe and heel regions to help with more consistent performance on off-centre strikes and a slimmed-down back-weight profile to help ensure the club sits more flush to the ground.

HYBRIDS
The new Ping G440 hybrids have an eight percent shallower face to help golfers hit higher on the face, meaning it helps them launch their hybrids higher. The face is also six percent thinner and an optimized face profile helps to increase ball speed from the middle of the face plus control ball speed on off-centre strikes. Four grams of weight was removed from the hosel, screw, and heel section of all hybrid lofts meaning the CG was lowered by 12 percent to help increase launch plus stopping power – without compromising ball speed.

There is extensive loft offerings designed to fit golfers of all skill levels – six lofts in total, from 17-degree 2 iron to a 34-degree 7 iron. Loft has been increased by 1-degree in the 3- and 4-hybrid for higher launch with a neutral flight and more stopping power while the 5-, 6-, and 7-hybrids have a slight draw-bias and higher launch to help fly straighter and gap well into an iron set.

IRONS
The new Ping G440 irons have a shallower face height, thinner top line, and a shorter blade length that gives the look of a players’ iron but deliver the forgiveness and consistency of a game-improvement design.
The Ping G440 irons best fits golfers in need of game-improvement technology but who prefer a players-style shape. Golfers will get increased ball speed thanks to a thinner face with a low/back CG location, which means higher launching, longer-carrying shots with stopping power.
