  • Check out PING G425 Line

    On the Range Blog

PING has never been a company to release new products for the sake of just getting something new into the marketplace. If it passes some of the companies rigorous testing for PING golf clubs, only then will there be new clubs available for divot diggers.

Enter the PING G425 drivers and G425 irons.

    They’ve passed the test.

“Our engineering teams have made significant performance improvements in the G425 family, which we are confident will appeal to long-time, loyal PING players while attracting other golfers looking to play better and enjoy the game more, including those brand-new to the game,” said PING president John K. Solheim.

“As is our engineering philosophy, we don’t introduce a new product unless it’s measurably better than its predecessor. The G425 family exceeds that standard in both performance and appearance.”

For 2021 the PING G425 line features drivers, fairway woods, irons, and hybrids. All of which reflect the hard work and serious research and development that you can come to expect from the makers of PING golf clubs.

    PING G425 Drivers

Building on the success of the PING G410, the PING G425 driver line (which includes three different versions) expands on the distance and stability offerings of its predecessor. The PING G425 drivers feature the G425 LST, the G425 MAX, and the G425 SFT.

The PING G425 driver sees its total MOI push a record 10,000 (thanks to a 26-gram tungsten movable weight). The G425 LST (low spin) and SFT (draw bias) help golfers dial-in what they need from a driver to help them hit it longer and straighter.

Each PING G425 driver boasts a speed-generating T9S+ forged face and Dragonfly crown technology to help with weight savings. The PING G425 LST is a pear-shaped 445cc head to help deliver spin reductions (and has just a 17-gram weight) whereas the 460cc G425 SFT has a fixed 23-gram tungsten back weight.

Arccos Caddie Smart Grips are standard in all PING G425 drivers to help golfers get better with data.

    PING G425 Fairway Woods

The fairway woods from PING Golf in 2021 reflect the drivers by the same names. There are three options the G425 Max (high MOI), the G425 LST (low-spin), and the G425 SFT (draw-bias) – all of which boast a new 3-dot alignment feature for easy-aiming, and Arccos Caddie Smart Grips.

The big story for the PING G425 fairway woods is the thinner, high-strength steel Facewrap that helps increase face-flexing for higher launching, and longer, shots. PING’s engineers also didn’t just make up some great new clubs for 2021, they also invented a new word: Spinsistency. Spinsistency reflects the “consistent spin” a golfer will get thanks to the modified roll profile in the PING G425 fairway woods.

    PING G425 Hybrids

Like the fairway woods, the PING G425 hybrids also boast the Spinsistency promise and Facewrap technology which helps golfers hit it further and faster. A tungsten back weight on the PING G425 hybrids help to increase the MOI by almost 4 percent, while there is an eight-way adjustable hosel to help golfers dial in what they’re hoping the G425 hybrid can do for them and their games.

    PING G425 Crossover

An expansion of the PING irons line, the PING G425 crossover helps golfers off the ground or on the tee with long-iron type performance thanks to green-finding forgiveness and more distance. A thin steel face combined with hosel weights and tungsten in the toe helps to increase MOI by 6.5 percent for better forgiveness and accuracy.

    PING G425 Irons

The PING G425 irons are the perfect combination of forgiving technology and beautiful craftmanship. A tungsten toe screw and hosel weight helps beef up the forgiveness in the PING G425 irons, while the clean, streamlined look helps to inspire confidence. The face for the PING G425 irons has been re-engineered using variable face thickness design, inspired by the PING metalwoods. The construction, unique for PING irons in 2021, helps to increase face-flexing for more ball speed, higher launch, and more distance. Finally, a multi-material cavity badge helps dampen sound for improved feel.

Arccos Caddie Smart Grips are standard, and the PING G425 irons come in 4-PW or 5-PW with an approach wedge option available as well.
