Pro Tip: Introducing Ping 2021 Putters

PING, these days, is known for so many things. The iconic golf brand outfits some of the best golfers in the world – including Canadians Corey Conners and Brooke Henderson – with trustworthy gear to help them play their best.

But if there was just a singular thing PING is known the world over for is its putters. The legendary Anser putter from PING has inspired a legion of intimidators and it remains one of the most popular models of flat sticks in the world.

For 2021, PING golf putters have gotten a bit of a makeover, but the key technologies that have helped golfers to roll their putts straight and true for decades remains intact.

The 2021 PING putters feature 11 models that golfers can expect to be both traditional and modern.

“We’ve engineered a lot of score-lowering technology into the 2021 putter line through extensive research and tour player feedback. All of the models are developed with higher MOI through strategic use of various materials, including tungsten, steel and aluminum, to provide the forgiveness and accuracy golfers expect from a PING putter,” said president of PING John K. Solheim. “The dual-durometer insert features uniform, shallow grooves to give golfers a soft, responsive feel for more consistent distance control with the precise touch they need to hole more putts.”

All 11 of the new models are available at GlobalGolf.ca, led by the Anser, Anser 2, and Anser 4. The other PING golf putter models released for 2021 include the Kushin 4, DS 72, and Tyne 4. The Fetch and Oslo Hm the CA 70, and the Harwood round out the line.

The PING Anser putters combine tungsten heel and toe weights with a stainless-steel head to help elevate the timeless designs to the highest MOI in PING’s history. The multi-material construction in the PING Anser line for 2021 gives golfers optimized MOI and CG, which means incredible forgiveness and feel.

“We just think we’re in the right space for having the appeal of the classic look at address,” Ryan Stokke, director of product design for PING told Golf Digest, “with the technology that really prevails from the impact experience and the forgiveness standpoint.”

The Tyne 4, a mid-mallet, the Kushin 4, and the Anser 4 all have significant amount of toe hang to help golfers who have a big arc in their stroke. The CA 70, a mid-mallet, is ideal for golfers with a straight back/straight through stroke, while the DS 72 (also a mid-mallet) is great for golfers with a slight arc to their stroke.

Regardless of your stroke, the PING golf putters for 2021 provide a ton of options with a research and development team you can trust.

The Vice President of Engineering at PING, Paul Wood, told PGATOUR.com that upwards of 70 percent of golfers favour putters with either an insert or softer feel, so PING aggressively came up with a full range of insert-style putters – hence the 11 different models.

The new line of PING 2021 putters come in both right and left-handed, and one model (the Harwood) also comes in an armlock version.
