Pro Tip: Cobra LTDx vs. RADSPEED

Cobra drivers have quickly become some of the best in golf, especially when they’re trusted by some of the longest hitters in the men’s and women’s games in Bryson DeChambeau and Lexi Thompson, respectively.

Here we’ll compared the Cobra LTDx drivers and the Cobra RADSPEED drivers, as both have technology aimed to help golfers of all levels get the most out of their games off the tee.

The Cobra LTDx drivers were released this year and there are three models under the “Longest Total Distance” umbrella. As you can probably guess, these new Cobra drivers were built for speed and distance gains.

The LTDx LS (Low Spin) model is designed for Tour-level players and better amateurs who are hoping for a low-spin, fast, and workable driver. The LTDx is what Cobra is calling its fastest and most forgiving driver ever. It’s got a unique design that’s playable for all golfers who are keen for an idyllic combination of stability and lower spin with a nice balance of front and back weighting. The final new Cobra driver model is the LTDx MAX which has added heel weighting to help promote a draw bias – plus all the distance-gaining technology as the standard model.

Although the Cobra LTDx drivers are the latest release of Cobra drivers, don’t ignore the RADSPEED models either. Both are great options, since the RADSPEED models pack a nice punch, technology wise, and are available at a fraction of the price.

LTDx drivers boast a little more forgiveness and a little less spin, but don’t blink on the RADSPEED and their serious technological advancements.

There are also three models of Cobra RADSPEED drivers available. The first RADSPEED driver boasts 28 grams of extra weight up front and helps to promote a low-and-forward centre of gravity for a more workable ball flight and is for a mid-handicap golfer. The RADSPEED XB helps mid to low-handicap golfers to hit it higher and further with more weight positioned in the back of the club for a penetrating ball flight. The final RADSPEED driver is the RADSPEED XD, and it’s meant for higher handicap golfers who are keen to eliminate their slice thanks to 10 grams of fixed weight added to the heel.

From a technology standpoint there was a big leap in advancements for Cobra drivers from the SPEEDZONE to the RADSPEED thanks to radial weighting, and things were refined a little further for the Cobra LTDx drivers.

Especially if you’ve had your current driver for a few years, choosing either model of Cobra driver would be an upgrade – given how much technological innovation is contained within each.
