With more golf being played in Canada than ever before these last two years, courses have been flooded with plenty of golfers who are either returning to the game or picking it up for the first time.
Since there are so many Canadians playing so much golf, they’re likely keen to improve.
Cobra Golf has released its new line of AIR-X that is designed to help make golf easier and more enjoyable. The AIR-X line boasts lightweight construction to help improve feel during the swing.
The light-weight club category is one that has seen an influx of new entrants over the last few years. The AIR-X line builds off Cobra Golf’s previous entrant in the category, the F-Max. The improvement is evident in the new line of Cobra drivers from AIR-X as the new design has managed to save eight grams of weight in both the men’s and women’s drivers plus the fairway woods. The weight-saving effort can help with forgiveness and distance.
Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about the new Cobra lightweight line, the AIR-X.
And don’t forget: there are a bunch of used Cobra drivers available on GlobalGolf.ca bagged by some of the best golfers in the world like Bryson DeChambeau and Lexi Thompson.
COBRA AIR-X DRIVER
Designed to deliver what Cobra calls “effortless speed,” the new Cobra driver, the AIR-X, is a lightweight design – all of the head, shaft, and grip have trimmed weight – that is easier to swing than traditional drivers. Back-heel weighting creates stability and improves forgiveness while there is an off-set and ‘straight-neck’ hosel design available.
While weight is pushed to the back to help with stability on off-centre hits, two grams of weight is removed thanks to a carbon crown on this Cobra driver.
Also available in Women’s.

COBRA AIR-X FAIRWAY WOODS
Similar to the new Cobra drivers, the Cobra AIR-X fairway woods employ a lot of the same weight-saving efforts. The new Cobra fairway woods have heel weighting, a super-low profile, offset, and are lightweight to help to boost launch.
Just like the AIR-X drivers, the carbon crown in the new fairway woods saves two grams of weight in the head. The offset hosel helps to produce straighter shots, while back-and-heel weighting provide stability.

COBRA AIR-X HYBRIDS
The lightweight theme continues with the new Cobra AIR-X hybrids, just like the new Cobra drivers. The Cobra AIR-X hybrids have a thin forged face insert, plus the same back-and-heel weighting and offset hosel as the new Cobra drivers. The combination of new designs and lighter formatting will see golfers increase their speed while also benefitting from more forgiveness.

COBRA AIR-X IRONS
The new Cobra irons feature a lightweight design – just like the metalwoods – which help to promote launch, distance, and accuracy.
A faster face design helps golfers to have constant strikes and improves distance even on off-centre hits. The extremely lightweight construction makes every swing feel smooth, while the cavity-back design helps golfers to launch the ball easier. Overall, the new Cobra irons have saved eight grams of weight over its predecessor thanks to two grams of weight removed in the clubhead and six grams in the grip. It’s an easy-to-hit set for moderate swing-speed golfers that has a laser-like focus on speed, launch, and forgiveness.
