Pro Tip: Welcome the 2023 Aerojet Line of Cobra Golf Clubs

Given the name, you can probably guess what the main objective of Cobra’s new line of gear for 2023 is going to be: it’s all about helping golfers increase their speed, no matter what player type you are.

The new Cobra Aerojet line of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons offer up plenty of new technologies for every kind of golfer who may be seeking more speed and distance plus forgiveness.

The key part of what makes AeroJet faster is the new Advanced Aerodynamic Shaping (meant to help the club head move through the air with the least-possible resistance) to deliver faster clubhead and ball speed. Not only that, but Cobra has installed other distance-enhancing technologies like the new PWR-BRIDGE weighting design and PWRSHELL H.O.T. (standing for Highly Optimized Topology) face which delivers a larger sweet spot for faster speed across the face.

“The aerodynamic package in the new AeroJet family of drivers is our most advanced to date,” said Mike Yagley, Vice President of Innovation, Cobra Golf, of the new Cobra drivers. “We continue to balance the aggressive streamlining with optimum mass and resilience properties to give players maximum club-head speed and ball launch characteristics for increased distance.

According to Cobra’s testing, one of the Cobra AeroJet drivers produced 1.5 miles per hour faster club-head speed compared to the previous generation during robot testing. Pretty impressive stuff.

If you’re interested in giving the new Cobra AeroJet line a try then be sure to visit GlobalGolf.ca and look at its UTry program. And don’t forget to utilize the USelect tool to find which new Cobra club is right for you, while the UTrade-In program can help you nab an even better price on new Cobra gear when you trade in your previous gear for an upgrade.

Here's everything you need to know about the new Cobra drivers, Cobra fairway woods, Cobra irons, and Cobra Hybrids for 2023.

    Cobra AeroJet Drivers

The AeroJet family builds on the design and performance of the previous LTDx lineup in three models, the AeroJet LS, AeroJet, and AeroJet MAX. Each driver features PWR-BRIDGE Weighting Technology, Cobra’s first-ever suspended weight design.

The AeroJet LS offers an aggressive aerodynamic shape and refined address profile designed for skilled players that demand low launch and low spin for maximum control while the AeroJet MAX blends the aero-shaping with maximum stability and optional draw bias. The standard AeroJet is designed, meanwhile, to appeal to the widest spectrum of players and features one weight port in the rear of the sole which provides a neutral shot shape, and a nice combination of forgiveness and speed for maximum distance.

    Cobra AeroJet Fairway Woods

There are three new Cobra fairway woods for 2023 which reflect the same naming conventions as the driver: AeroJet LS, AeroJet MAX, and AeroJet. The AeroJet LS model is designed for players with faster swing speeds and utilizes forward weighting to producer lower and workable ball-flight trajectories. The AeroJet standard fairway wood model is aimed at the widest variety of players (easy launch, long distance, and ample forgiveness), while the AeroJet MAX is Cobra’s most forgiving fairway wood with the same performance of the standard model but with additional launch and draw bias.

    Cobra AeroJet Hybrid

Rounding out the new Cobra AeroJet family is the Cobra AeroJet hybrids. They feature a new shape with lower heel, more rounded crown, and the same PWR-BRIDGE weighting and PWRSHELL H.O.T. Face technology as the Cobra drivers and fairway woods. The AeroJet hybrid comes from the 2H-6H while the ONE Length model of the AeroJet hybrid is available in 3H-5H.

    Cobra AeroJet Irons

Building off what players will see in the metalwoods in terms of speed and distance, the new Cobra AeroJet irons feature a new design (a refined topline is the highlight) while they also boast plenty of impressive, distance-enhancing technologies like the same PWR-BRIDGE design seen in the metalwoods. For the irons it’s an engineering breakthrough that blends low centre-of-gravity and fast ball speed with an innovative floating weight design. The Cobra AeroJet irons also feature Cobra’s largest PWRSHELL insert with a new H.O.T. face. The face is designed using artificial intelligence and offers a larger sweet zone for better speed (nearly two miles per hour faster in robot testing) and spin across the entire clubface.

The new Cobra AeroJet irons are available in variable length or ONE length.
