  • Pro Tip: 2022 Callaway Roundup

    Updated: Oct 03, 2022
    Pro Tip: Callaway 2022 Roundup

The Callaway brand is lucky enough to be associated with such top golfers like Jon Rahm, Sam Burns, Xander Schauffele, Adam Hadwin, plus Georgia Hall, Yuka Saso, and Annika Sorenstam.

And when it comes to brand-new gear, the best in the game continue to trust Callaway with all their equipment needs – from drivers to golf balls.

The good news is that with Callaway’s hearty R&D, the products developed for the best in the world (including wedges from Roger Cleveland and putters from Sean Toulon) are constantly delivering for weekend warriors, too.

The big release from Callaway Golf this year was the Rogue ST line of drivers. While Artificial Intelligence has been part of Callaway’s tech story for a while, the Rogue ST drivers for 2022 were even more advanced. ST stands for ‘speed tuned’ as the Callaway team’s big objective was to ramp up the face speed on these new Callaway golf clubs. A.I. was once again used to help improve launch, spin, forgiveness, and of course, speed.

There were four models in the Callaway Rogue driver family for 2022 – Max, Max LS, Max D, and Triple Diamond LS. A variety of tech and material stories were helpful for golfers to hit it longer and straighter in 2022 including smart A.I. faces, carbon composite crowns, and titanium Unibody construction. New for 2022 in these Callaway Golf drivers was a tungsten speed cartridge that put 26 grams of weight low and deep on the driver head to help with speed and forgiveness.

Four versions of the new Callaway irons were also released in 2022, with the Rogue ST Pro, Max, Max OS, and Max Lite all finding their way into Canadian golf bags this season. Each of the models took inspiration from last year’s Apex 21 line with a focus on the brand-new 450 A.I. Face cup – a blend of the flash face technology and high-strength 450 steel.

The new Callaway golf ball line – staying in the Chrome Soft family – for 2022 has helped some of the best in the world and the weekend hackers to play better golf this year.

“This ball has made me a better player, and I can hit shots that I’ve never been able to before… and that’s the confidence you want to have on the course,” said Jon Rahm.

From the Chrome Soft Triple Track, to the Truvis design, to the highly visible yellow-coloured golf balls, the new Callaway Chrome Soft for 2022 leaned into new Precision Technology for manufacturing techniques that allow the new Callaway golf balls to have specifications of up to 1/1000th of an inch.
